Electrical Equipment Testing (EET) / Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)

Keeping UK workplaces safe, compliant, and fully protected

Electrical safety isn’t optional - it’s a legal responsibility. GridCore’s nationwide EET service (commonly known as PAT Testing) helps businesses of all sizes comply with relevant legislation – including the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR) and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 – to reduce the risk of electrical accidents and protect staff, visitors, and property.

Whether you manage a single site or hundreds of locations across the UK, GridCore’s team of qualified engineers deliver fast, reliable, and fully-documented testing with minimal disruption to your operations.

The benefits of GridCore’s EET /PAT Testing Service?

What’s included in our EET / PAT Testing service?

1

Visual inspection

We inspect plugs, fuses, cables, casings, and the appliance's overall condition to identify visible defects.

2

Electrical testing

Using calibrated EET / PAT testing equipment, we perform earth continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, polarity checks, leakage tests and functional checks.

3

Labelling and asset identification

Each appliance receives a unique ID label that shows its pass/fail status and the next test due date.

4

Digital reports and certification

You receive an EET / PAT Test Certificate, full asset register, detailed test results and a failures report with recommendations.

5

Remedial work (Optional)

Minor repairs, such as plug rewires and fuse replacements, can be completed on the spot. Where more work is required, GridCore’s team will ensure that faults are rectified quickly and efficiently.
